We only know how strong we are when being strong is our only choice. Kendra Kinnison has survived Hurricanes. Her most recent brush with tumultuous storms happened when Hurricane Harvey ripped through southern Texas. However, she finds her calling in helping leaders navigate personal hurricanes that can arise when we choose to make ourselves vulnerable to the responsibility of leading. When she sits down with Benjamin, the two dive into the process of how we can take the mantle of leadership regardless of position or occupation.

Guest Bio

Kendra L. Kinnison, MBA, CPA, is the General Manager for Port Royal Ocean Resort and President of PRexcel, a consulting firm serving the hospitality industry. She also provides leadership coaching to help people achieve excellence through habits.

Kendra is Chair of the Texas Business and Professional Women’s Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Travel Industry Association, the Advisory Board of the College of Business at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, and the Island Strategic Action Committee for the City of Corpus Christi. Over the last two decades, Kendra has served in leadership positions in a number of community service organizations.

Holding an MBA and BBA from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, Kendra is the youngest MBA graduate in the school’s history. She is also a graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi Class XXX and was the Steering Committee Chair for Class XXXV. Kendra was an inaugural selection to Corpus Christi’s Top 40 Under 40 list in 2006 and was a Y Women in Careers Honoree in 2005.
